TRIAD has moved to remote gatherings due to COVID-19. There are no TRIAD membership dues Fall 2021 term.
TRIAD provides faculty, classified staff, and community members with the opportunity to gather over lunch for networking and to learn more about research, teaching, and service at OSU and beyond. The three values of TRIAD are: Service, Cooperation and Fellowship.
Membership in TRIAD is open to all OSU faculty, staff, and community members. Every TRIAD lunch gathering is enlivened by individuals from many disciplines who have insights from diverse perspectives. All participants have a common bond to OSU, and share an interest in knowing individuals outside their usual work settings.
We meet weekly on Thursdays at noon in the MU when the University is in session, except during the summer, and we have several special functions during the year.
Membership is $70/year ($35 for the first year). Members are expected to be “active” members — i.e., they attend regularly and perhaps serve on one of the club's committees. In addition to annual dues (pro-rated for new members), members are charged for a minimum of six meals each term. Members may request to be “inactive” for a term if schedules preclude luncheon meetings on Thursday noon (or longer if on sabbatical or other leave). Inactive members are welcome to attend meetings by giving prior notice to the secretary.
Lunches for active TRIAD members this year will be $12. Inactive members and their guests will pay $13. Walk-in visitors will pay $13. Please send your $70 membership fee ($35 for new members for the first year) to TRIAD Treasurer Joe Nibler, Chemistry Department, 153 Gilbert Hall, Corvallis , OR 97331. Checks should be made payable to OSU Triad Club.
